Working Experiences
I'm currently working as Web Designer at Origin Design ltd in Chiswick, London, I was hired in August 2009. My job at Origin is to design websites, flash games, eflyers, landing pages from scratch: to the earliest mockup to the finished working website.
From July 2006 to July 2009 I worked by Art and Pixel s.n.c., Florence, IT. as a Mac operator, specialized in photo retouch and pre-press workflows (managing colour profiles and printing proofs), and designing graphic layouts of different kinds, like brochures, catalogs and flyers.
In the last two years I also worked at home for some websites. You can take a look at them in my portfolio.
In June 2005 i did an internship by Nidiaci Grafiche, Certaldo (FI), IT preparing works for Offset printing and designing graphic layouts.
Education and Qualifications
From October 2007 to June 2009 I studied by “Nemo NT - Accademia delle arti digitali” , Web Design course of two academic years. My final result was 30/30, not bad at all!
I own an Advertising Graphic Technician Degree by “F. Enriques” Institute, where I studied subjects such as Graphic Design, Advertising Planning, Photographic Techniques, Social Psychology.
In 2005 I archivied the 3rd place at the Italian National contest for Advertising Graphic Students (Padova, 4th october 2005). The contest was about designing a logo and related graphic layouts for the competition itself.
Skills and Competences
I got a good knowledge of the main graphic softwares, such as Adobe Creative Suite, most of all Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash, but also Quark XPress. I like to keep myself constantly aware of the new trends about advertising graphics and web design.
I got a good knowledge of the English language and a good predisposition for graphic drawing.
I got a basic programming knowledge (ActionScript, Javascript), a good knowledge of best effort choosing, assembly and keeping good performance rate of pc hardware and software.
I Can work on both Windows and Mac Os X systems, but I have to say that I sold my last pc just after I bought my first Mac. How sad :)
Interests
I love to listen to good rock music, and I try to play it with my guitar. I’m also interested to good movies, books, art and photography.
