Working Experiences
I'm currently working as Web Designer at Winona eSolutions in Camden, London, where I'm lead designer for London Fashion Week. At Winona I've been focusing on usability, designing websites of many organisations in the third sector. I'm also preparing the opening of my own Web and Graphic Design agency back in Italy: Riot Design.
From July 2009 to July 2010 I moved to London and was hired as Web Designer at Origin Design. Designing websites, flash games, eflyers, landing pages from the earliest mockup to the finished working website.
From July 2006 to July 2009 I worked by Art and Pixel in Florence. I specialized in photo retouch and colour management, designing graphic layouts of different kinds, like brochures, catalogs and flyers for major italian fashion brands.
I started my work experience in 2005, with an internship by Nidiaci Grafiche, Certaldo (Florence), IT preparing works for Offset printing and designing graphic layouts.
Education and Qualifications
From October 2007 to June 2009 I studied by “Nemo NT - Accademia delle arti digitali” , Web Design course of two academic years. My final result was 30/30.
I own an Advertising Graphic Technician Diploma by the “F. Enriques” Institute in Castelfiorentino (Florence), where I studied subjects such as Graphic Design, Advertising Planning, Photographic Techniques, Social Psychology.
In 2005 I reached the 3rd place at the National contest for Advertising Graphic Students (Padova, 4th october 2005). The contest was about designing a logo and related graphic layouts for the competition itself.
Skills and Competences
I got a good knowledge of the main graphic softwares, such as Adobe Creative Suite, most of all Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash, but also Quark XPress. I like to keep myself constantly aware of the new trends about advertising graphics and web design.
I got a good knowledge of the English language and a good predisposition for graphic drawing.
I got a basic programming knowledge (ActionScript, Javascript), a good knowledge of best effort choosing, assembly and keeping good performance rate of pc hardware and software.
I Can work on both Windows and Mac Os X systems, but I have to say that I sold my last pc just after I bought my first Mac. How sad :)
Interests
I love to listen to good rock music, and I try to play some tunes with my guitar. I’m also interested to good movies, classic books, modern art and photography.
